Yesterdays quote hits upon a very important principle. Having the Holy Ghost as our companion is the most important thing that we can do to draw closer to Christ. But to receive the Holy Ghost we have to be worthy of it's guidance and we have to ask for it. In our prays we need to plead with Heavenly Father to give us the guidance of the Holy Ghost and then when we have to try with all our efforts to listen to it's subtle, quiet, and gentle promptings. And most importantly we have to have the discipline and the courage to act upon those promptings. For me the hard part is recognizing the promptings because they are my own thoughts. They are shot simple little thoughts, "call your visiting teacher", "send a letter to so-and-so". And I so often dismiss them because I don't realize that they are form the Lord. I challenge you to listen to those little thoughts because they are messages from the Lord and if you act on them I promise that you will see the Lord's hand in everything that you do and you will see miracle everyday. I have seen this happen in my own life, and I know that it can happen in yours. When we have to Holy Ghost as our companion we are happy and we feel fulfilled, we have that sense of peace that we are promised in the scriptures.

Not only must we move forward in a monumental manner more copies of the Book of Mormon, but we must move more boldly forward into our own lives and throughout the earth more of its marvelous messages. This sacred volume was written for us--for our day. It's scriptures are to be likened unto ourselves." ~President Ezra Taft Benson
